I first picked up a fly rod in 2002 under the encouragement of a business associate in St. Louis, MO. He took me down to Feather Craft Fly Fishing in St. Louis; helped me select a rod, reel and line, waders, boots and most importantly a series of fly casting lessons. Ten years later I became a snowbird spending winters in Tampa Bay surrounded by miles of bay with great fishing. Discovered Sun Coast Fly Fishers and have ever since opened up a whole new chapter in my fly fishing experience. A great bunch of people who accepted me with open arms and were willing to share fly fishing tips, experiences and a lot of laughs.
